| ABC KEYBOARD DETAILS |
| MAIN KEYBOARD The ABC Keyboard is the result of many requests to "fix" many items on the current QWERTY keyboard that bother some people. The biggest change, of course, is the layout of the letters in ALPHABETICAL ORDER so occasional typists can more easily find the keys. We have also placed the letters on the keys that require the least amount of movement to reach when the hands are in the "home key" position. (Index fingers on the "F" and "J" keys of the standard layout--the "L" and "O" keys of the ABC layout). |

NUMBERS Most people who input lots of numbers use the Numberpad located on the right side of the desktop keyboard. This makes the numbers on the main keyboard redundant, while taking up a lot of prime keyboard real estate. We have removed the numbers from the main register and put them on the bottom row where they may be input with a combination of two keys: Alt Key + Number PUNCTUATION AND SYMBOLS With the new space created by moving the numbers, we can place the most common punctuation on non-shift keys and group the symbols more logically. |

NEW SYMBOLS We have added some common symbols to the ABC keyboard. |

ACCENT MARKS We also added accent marks to the ABC keyboard. To create a letter with an accent mark, just type the accent mark followed by the letter. To type the accent mark only (as a stand-alone symbol), type it twice. |
